Dead on Arrival Policy

We take great care in ensuring that all invertebrates shipped are healthy and in good condition before they leave our facility. However, we understand that sometimes circumstances beyond our control can result in the death of an invertebrate during shipping. Therefore, we offer the following dead on arrival (DOA) policy:

  • Reporting DOA: If your invertebrate arrives dead, please notify us within 24 hours of delivery by emailing us a clear photo of the deceased specimen and a description of the problem. We will also require proof of purchase.
  • Replacement Policy: In the event of a DOA, we will either offer a replacement or issue a refund for the cost of the invertebrate (excluding shipping fees). Replacement invertebrates are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to issue a refund instead of a replacement.
  • Shipping Costs: If a replacement is necessary, we will cover the cost of shipping the new invertebrate to you. However, we do not cover the cost of shipping the deceased invertebrate back to us.
  • Conditions: This DOA policy applies only to invertebrates that are shipped within the continental United States. We do not offer refunds or replacements for invertebrates that die due to neglect or improper care after delivery.
  • Acceptance of DOA Policy: By purchasing an invertebrate from us, you accept and agree to the terms and conditions of our DOA policy.

Please note that we strive to ensure the health and well-being of all invertebrates we sell. We take any DOA incidents seriously. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in the rare event of a DOA occurrence.

The Queensland Bug License is a legal document that authorizes individuals and businesses to sell and distribute bugs within the state of Queensland. This license is issued by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries. It is required for anyone involved in the sale and distribution of bugs, including collectors, breeders, wholesalers, and retailers. The license helps to ensure that bugs are being sold and distributed in a safe and ethical manner. As well as that businesses are complying with relevant laws and regulations. It also helps to protect public health and the environment by ensuring that bugs are not introduced into new ecosystems. Where they could become pests or cause harm.
